The Summer Advanced Bioengineering Experience (SABE 2016)
The Summer Advanced Bioengineering Experience (SABE) is the exciting follow-up to our Summer Biomedical Engineering Experience (SBEE) course. SABE is an engaging, college-level program designed to provide high school students with an opportunity to explore the exciting fields of organic chemistry, biotechnology, and material science. Students can expect full immersion in an academic environment surrounded by peers, professors, and researchers. Hands-on activities and guided instruction will provide a clear understanding of the fundamentals of these exciting fields.
Throughout the course of this two-week program, students will interact directly with concepts, tools, and technologies such as:
- Microfluidics (“Lab on a Chip”)
- Polymer Chemistry
- Neural Engineering
- Brain-computer Interfacing
The Summer Advanced Bioengineering Experience is a two-week curriculum held weekdays at The University of Texas at Dallas Campus from 9am – 4pm.
